EASTER HOLIDAY: BROCANTE FEST

Just back from a VERY relaxing holiday in Wales, the Cotswolds then France seeing friends and family, walking and having a much-needed break from work.

Found some amazing junk shops in (who’d have thought it) Evesham, and was taken on a whirlwind tour of the best Brocantes in Limoges by vintage hunter-gatherer extraordinaire, Double Merrick. Cue the Hipstamatic faux hipster Polaroids…

I accidentally bought: A Woods Ware HAUL (over 50 pieces in Jasmine yellow and Beryl green for £15. Kerr-ching!); A huge Bluebird toffee tin; A retro tea tray; Some delicate mint green milk glass tea cups and saucers; Vintage bottles; A few mirrors; A 1950s map; And a stash of 1970s floral fabrics (just 2 euros a piece) for the Grand Retro Caravan Makeover project. More about that another time…

I really liked this blancmange mould with the recipe printed on the outside, but sadly I had to draw the line somewhere or I would have bought the whole shop…

Ah, there’s nowt like a bit of brocante for soothing the soul!
